If there’s one thing we love, it’s a viral fad, and the #MeAt20 thing is really hitting the spot.
Basically, you find a photo of yourself as a gawky 20-year-old, post it online and wait for the ridicule/admiration to roll on in.
Celebrities have been getting stuck in too, with the likes of Piers Morgan, Carol Vorderman and Emily Atack surrendering their embarrassing photos to the internet forever.
Think ‘bad perms’, dangerously short shorts and some questionable haircuts.
You’re welcome, folks.
Piers Morgan led the charge, posting a snap of himself as a young whippersnapper dressed in tiny red lipstick print shorts.
He wrote: ‘M at 20 with my oldest journalist mate @robinmcgibbon – you’d never believe we both went on to write books about boy bands.’
Carol, meanwhile, shared a graduation snap, commenting: ‘Graduating age 20. 1981. Engineering. Cambridge Uni.
‘VERY bad perm. Inspired by Deirdre Barlow, John Bon Jovi with a hint of Cher.’
Inbetweeners star Emily looked – well, a bit like how she does now – with just her cardigan-over-dress combo giving the Noughties game away.
The 30-year-old posted: ‘With my melon head and tiny little body, that was criticised for being too fat even then.
‘You will never please everybody. So have that Easter egg for breakfast and relax.’
Actor Laurence Fox posted his acting headshot from the age of 20, quipping: ‘I’m pretty sure this is still my casting headshot.
‘I shall report myself for a violation of the Trade Descriptions act.’
Channel 4 news presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy looked frankly very dishy in his offering – a photo of him sandwiched between his female pals (lad).
The 50-year-old wrote: ‘The only #MeAt20 pic I have to hand – presenting the ‘seminal’ fashion show Posh Frocks and New Trousers for ITV.’
Just. Sublime.
