Nigella Lawson announced she is making a TV comeback with Cook, Eat, Repeat, right in time for Christmas.

And we are absolutely beside ourselves with excitement.

Taking to Twitter, the celebrity chef confirmed she has a new series on the way next month, as well as a festive special in December.

‘Nearly finished filming the series that accompanies my new book #CookEatRepeat (and the Christmas Special!),’ the 60-year-old tweeted.

‘The series will air on @BBCTwo from November and the Christmas Special will go out, unsurprisingly enough, in December.

‘No info on dates outside the UK yet, I’m afraid.’

Fans were clearly thrilled with the news, flocking to brand Nigella the ‘essence’ of Christmas.

Santa, who?

‘Hurray, a Christmas Special – just what we need, and especially this year,’ one penned.

‘(Panettone Stuffing Squares already on my “to make” list and, no doubt, good old Parmesan Shortbreads.)’

‘Can’t wait to see it…Nigella is the essence of Christmas……,’ another agreed. ‘Just love her programmes….

‘Her cranberry mince pies are wonderful if I do not make them at Christmas the family cause a riot….’

A Twitter user said: ‘Can’t wait, really enjoy your shows especially the Christmas ones with your kitchen glowing with fairy lights, feeling all warm & cosy already.’

While a follower added: ‘I absolutely adore watching your Christmas cooking series, fire on and a glass of wine and it makes everything better x especially this year!!!’

Honestly same.

The new series will be Nigella’s first show to be broadcast on BBC Two in three years – following the successful Nigella: At My Table in 2017.

But the kitchen queen hasn’t been resting on her laurels, instead she judged the Australian version of MasterChef and appeared on the US series last year.

Nigella Lawson’s Cook, Eat, Repeat will air on BBC Two in November.
